About Bikram Yoga
Every Bikram yoga class is a sequence of the same 26 asanas (poses/postures) and 2 breathing exercises selected from Hatha Yoga. It has been proven and experienced by millions worldwide that these 26 postures systematically work every part of the body. This yoga builds energy, stamina and flexibility. It incorporates strength, challenge, gravity, balance, and the tourniquet effect. The body is self-regulating and self-adjusting, and Bikram yoga helps return the body to its natural balanced state.
The yoga room is intentionally hot (105°F) to promote cellular metabolism, detoxification, and suppleness of the muscular system. It is a very safe practice. The series works equally well for beginning and advanced students. You will be encouraged to challenge yourself to improve and maintain your health — physically and mentally.
